Pool-span® & Pool-dek® are both hard floor pool cover solutions, converting a swimming pool from a wet to a dry environment. The stylish floor finish comprises a bespoke, made to measure service, meaning Pool-span® and Pool-dek® can fit around specific pool features.
Producing a covering either over the water’s surface or an empty pool, Pool-dek and Pool-span offer you an individual hard-floor surface that creates an amazing and unique space. Thanks to a simple and quick installation process that doesn’t require pool drainage, your space can be transformed for multiple uses such as events or a complete room renovation.

How Pool-dek Works
Pool-dek is a specially designed system that can convert your pool house, pool room or an outdoor pool area into a dry area. It is generally used to transform an existing swimming pool into an event floor in less than a day. Ideal for family gatherings, Birthday parties and Wedding Receptions, Pool-dek offers the ultimate dance floor over the pool, utilising and transforming your space. There is no need to drain the pool.
Made of stainless steel frames with adjustable feet assures that Pool-dek is stable and safe whilst the water-resistant deck panels ensure that the top of your covering will stay dry throughout use. It is erected via a simple connecting system without the need for tools to supply a rigid structure for walking, dining or dancing on or for placing equipment.
Customisation Options for Pool-dek
Here at Pool-dek, we offer two types of systems:
- Flush Fitting: this system consists of a brushed stainless steel edging to lip over the poolside coping.
- Oversail System: results in an edge finish that overlaps the edge of the pool, with a 27mm chamfered edge, in tricoya or stainless steel.
All Pool-dek systems include compact wheeled storage which can be stored on the provided wheeled trolley and will pass through an 850mm single doorway. We recommend that you store your Pool-dek covering on the same level as the pool area to allow for ease of use when required.
Pool-span
What Do You Use Pool-span for?
Pool-span is ideal where the swimming pool bottom is a hopper style or a liner and slopes in different directions. The results are incredibly transformed areas that were once unused into safe entertainment spaces, such as room conversions, gyms, lounges and play areas.
Comprised of a series of bespoke steel beams placed across the width of a pool, Pool-span forms a support structure on which to place deck panels with a choice of finishes.
Customisation Options for Pool-span
- Pool-span is available as a timber system that can be fitted with the deck panels flush to the perimeter coping tiles or across the whole room, creating a completely new space.
- There is also a flush system, with steel beams spanning across the width of the pool and perimeter stainless steel edging over the poolside coping. Pool-span beams can be fitted onto an internal pool ledge or by having support shelving fitted into the pool.

How Do Pool-span & Pool-dek Differ?
Both systems are clean and easy to install and, should you change your mind, the process of changing back to a swimming pool is simple and straightforward. Pool-span and Pool-dek do however have different storage requirements.
- Pool-dek can be stored in a garage or similar space. We provide compact wheeled trolleys to store your Pool-dek system, the trolleys will pass through an existing 850mm standard doorway.
- The Pool-span system can be dismantled and stored, yet room for the beams should be kept in mind. We provide compact wheeled trolleys on request to store the decks.

We first approached Pool-dek (supplied by Stage Systems) for a unique opportunity at the summit of Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island, one of the world’s most exclusive residential developments.
The ambition was to achieve a flexible landscape, to entertain large groups of family and friends, as well as enjoying the more intimate environment of the swimming pool. We developed a design which incorporated a hard floor pool cover to match the adjacent natural paving, and to celebrate the unique waterfront views towards Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour.
The Pool-dek team remained in communication throughout the project and provided great design, technical support, delivery and installation.
