Our Client contacted us looking to find a solution to cover his pool with a temporary hard floor in order to hold an anniversary dinner party at his private home in the Warwickshire countryside.
We introduced Pool-dek and advised that Pool-dek was available to buy or hire. After a consultative visit to the property to carry out a full survey of the pool and access area, we were able to produce a full proposal and set of drawings for the Client. The pool was of a straightforward rectangle shape, with concrete access steps into the pool and a constant level depth throughout.
The pool room was light and airy with an exposed brick wall and mirrors giving a modern but traditional feel. Double doors open out onto the courtyard and into a modern conservatory.
The option to hire Pool-dek was the most favourable and because the pool construction incorporated a liner, we added the use of special load spreader plates to protect the liner during use.
The Client approved the proposal and drawings and we set a date for installation. The system was installed in less than a day by our specialist team and the system left in situ over the festive and new year period.
Tables and chairs were used on the hard floor to create a beautiful dining area consisting of round tables and a top table. The event was a huge success with excellent feedback.
Our team returned to remove the system which took 3-4 hours and the swimming pool was once again ready for use.
