A Stylish Pool Cover in Yorkshire

Our Client had an event planned for later in the year and they were looking at options to create a floor over their swimming pool. They were looking for a system that could be installed by themselves as required. Their pool room space would be ideal as the party/event venue.
Their property, a Grade II listed Manor House, is in a small, picturesque village in Yorkshire. Their pool, housed in a beautiful pool room showing exposed beams and adjacent a gym room with patio access to the garden. The pool is 12.5m x 4m with a shallow end of 1.1m and deep end of 1.7m, flat bottomed and rectangle in shape with an integrated Jacuzzi. The pool has concrete step access at one end. Storage was not going to be an issue due to a separate barn area at the property, at the same level as the pool.
After a consultative visit and survey of the pool, our Client expressed an interested in a finish that would match their interior décor.
The outcome:
The final specification includes a lightweight deck panel with a stained timber finish, a brushed finish trim and support frame system in 316 grade stainless steel. The Jacuzzi cover the same, with a matching Accoya®* edging. The system stacks and stores on wheeled trolleys.
Our Client is extremely pleased with the Pool-dek product, installation and service. Training will be provided separately to the installation.

*Accoya® is wood from a fast-growing pine tree (Pinus radiata) which are grown in managed forests. Harvested at around 30 years, this timber doesn’t take the same path as other timber. It is put through a modification process, using acetic acid. This process creates extremely dimensionally stable and durable wood.
